Just got this error from YouTube.  I hope their “highly trained monkeys” fix the problem soon.  I need to watch some ninja cats.

Row Level Security in Hyperion System 9.3.1

I’m currently on a project to build a Business Intelligence solution and we are using Oracle’s Hyperion product.  Specifically, we are using Hyperion System 9.3.1.  One of the requirements for the project is to provide data level filtering, to allow users to only see data in the office where they work.

Fortunately, Hyperion does provide a feature called Row Level Security that can be used to satisfy this requirement.  Unfortunately, Hyperion’s documentation is not detailed enough to properly configure and implement this feature.  So I wrote-up  How to implement Oracle Hyperion System 9 Row Level Security.  (Yeah, I could have made a shorter title.)
